The Georges Mora Foundation is a not-for-profit cultural foundation dedicated to the support and promotion of contemporary art and artists in Melbourne and Australia.
Named in honor of Georges Mora, the renowned restaurateur, art dealer, patron, mentor and cultural catalyst and with Dame Elisabeth Murdoch as Patron, the Foundation aims to facilitate and encourage new and independent thinking required for the development of art in Australia.
The Foundation offers a biennial fellowship to an artist of repute to explore new thinking and research new ideas. Details of future fellowship opportunities to be posted on this website soon.

Prelude, the exhibition, was held at Seventh Gallery in 2010. It explored notions of levity and gravity by using materials such as paper, polystyrene and concrete to create forms that evoked a space that was both grounded and celestial.
